General Medical Services

Including management of chronic conditions, illnesses and injuries as well as preventative medicine. If you have more than 1 major or 2 smaller things to discuss with your GP, please book a 30-minute consultation.

Women’s Health

Including a full range of contraceptive options, assessment for menopausal hormone therapy and ring pessary insertion. Book a standard consult with your GP to discuss your options.

Travel Medicine

Dr Tom Croker has done further training in Travel Medicine and is happy to offer consults for this. The consults would cover how to keep healthy while travelling and pitfalls to avoid. As well as recommendations on vaccines specific to the country or countries being visited.

Please note that many vaccines need to be ordered in, so will often be given the week after the consult, So please book well in advance, ideally at least 6-8 weeks before intended departure date. We have a form for you to complete so that we can advise how a consult needs to be. But generally, 30 minutes as a minimum is required, and this is charged at $90 per 15 minutes.

We don’t offer Yellow Fever vaccines, so if you are going to places that requires this, you will need to go to a service that does those vaccines.  We can advise if you are not sure.

Skin Checks

A full and thorough skin check requires 30 minutes. A quick check of a spot or two can be done in a standard 15-minute consultation.

Minor Surgeries and Procedures

All of our doctors perform minor surgery with the help of our great team on nurses. The procedures including biopsies and small to medium sized excisions. These are all done after administration of local anaesthetic, so you need to come in about 15 minutes earlier to ensure that has time to work.

You need to first book an appointment to discuss what might be appropriate for your situation and plan how and where that it best done. If it something that is appropriate to do here, we can then book you in with the doctor and the nurse.

Drivers Licences

Licence renewals for over 65s require a nurse consultation followed by a GP consultation.

Insurance Medicals

Please drop in or email us any insurance form that needs to be completed before making an appointment, so we can advise how much time is needed.

Please note that as Travel Medicine consults, skin checks, minor surgeries, drivers licence and insurance medicals are not part of the routine medical care that we are subsidised for, they are charged at higher rates.
